AcademyHealth/Aetna Foundation Minority Scholars Program
AcademyHealth/Aetna Foundation Minority Scholars Program offers an opportunity for 15 minority students to attend an annual research meeting in the area of Health Services Research (HSR). Minorities include Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaska Native.

The scholarship covers all travel and other expenses related to attending the annual research meeting, plus the cost for membership in AcademyHealth. The scholarship program is designed to encourage and support students from minority populations underrepresented in the field of health services research (HSR) to consider careers in health services research.

AcademyHealth is a Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization that conducts health services research to determine cost and effectiveness and how this affects individuals, families, organizations and communities.

The scholarship is funded by Aetna Foundation, the charitable arm of Aetna. Aetna is a Fortune 100 company which sells traditional and consumer health care insurance plans and related services, such as medical, pharmaceutical, dental, behavioral health, long-term care, and disability plans.
