Microsoft Research Graduate Women’s Scholarship Program
The Microsoft Research Women’s Scholarship/ Fellowship Program is for women pursuing a PhD. degree. Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in the Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics field.

The scholarship is one time only and awarded during the student's second year of graduate studies. Each candidate must be nominated by their university. Universities may nominate up to 9 candidates per year. Those receiving scholarships are required to remain as active, full-time students enrolled in graduate programming during the academic year in which they received the award.

The scholarship consists of a scholarship award plus a stipend toward conference and travel expenses for recipients to attend a conference in their field of study. Eligible fields of study include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Bioinformatics/Information Science.

The scholarship are offered by Microsoft Research to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding women graduate students in the STEM fields.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in OCTOBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $15,000.
