The Ventures Scholars Program
The Ventures Scholars Program is open to high-achieving underrepresented students and first-generation college-bound students interested in pursuing careers in the field of math and science. Applicants must be African American or Black, Native American or Alaskan Native, Mexican or Mexican American, Hispanic, Latino, or Puerto Rican; or they can be first generation college bound students whose parents/guardians have no education beyond high school.

Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, a PSAT score of 50 on the math and verbal sections, SAT of 550 on the math and verbal sections, or ACT score of 19 on the math, science, English, and reading sections. They must also have a strong interest in a career in math or science.

Qualified students must become members of the Ventures Scholars Program; membership is free. Membership will give students access to resources and other information needed for them to reach their career goals. Students may major in physical sciences, computer/information sciences, engineering, mathematics, health professions, and biological/life sciences.

The scholarship is offered by The Ventures Scholars Program, a national non-profit, membership-based program designed to increase access to higher education for young adults interested in pursuing math- and science-based careers.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
