There is no minimum grade point average required. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of character and evaluated by the essays that are submitted by students. Interested students can apply by submitting a 500-1000 word essay that answers two questions:When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
One candidate will be selected to receive a scholarship. Applicants do not need to take engineering courses in order to be eligible. Recipients may attend a college of their choice.
The scholarship is offered by AES Engineering Solutions, a contracting services company that provides technical assistance, design expertise, engineering support and training courses.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in OCTOBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $500.
