Cooke College Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are planning to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school. Eligible students may pursue any area of study.

Candidates must have excellent academics, including a GPA of 3.5 or above, SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above, and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.

This is a competitive scholarship with a rigorous application review which includes analysis of grades, standardized test scores, participation in available advanced courses, student essays, letters of recommendation, and family finances. About 30-40 students are selected for the program each year.

The scholarship is offered by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, a private, independent foundation located in Lansdowne, Virginia. The organization is dedicated to advancing the education of exceptionally promising students who have financial need. The Foundation was created to provide financial and other support to exceptional students from elementary school to graduate school through scholarships, grants, direct service programs, and knowledge.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in NOVEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $40,000.
