The AXA Achievement Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Sponsored by the AXA Foundation in association with U.S. News & World Report, this scholarship requires applicants to be U.S. citizens or legal residents.
In addition, applicants must have demonstrated ambition and self-drive as evidenced by an outstanding achievement in a school, community, or workplace activity. Such activities can include setting up a food bank in their community, designing a curriculum to get kids interested in science, founding a nonprofit organization, etc.
The program offers state and national scholarships. Fifty-two winners - one from each state, will be selected to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 each. And, from the pool of 52 state winners, ten are selected as national winners and earn an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000 - $25,000.
