ASHRAE Scholarships are awarded to students entering college pursuing a career in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration. Students must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a college or university and working towards a bachelor's of science, bachelor's of engineering or pre-engineering degree.
Eligible students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 and rank in the top 30 percent of their class. The school they attend must be accredited by ABET. Students can be high school students entering college for the first time, currently enrolled in college or adult students. Several scholarships are available, ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 and are renewable.
The scholarship is funded by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)Foundation. The Foundation was created in 1994 to support the needs of the HVAC&R Industry with funding for research and development and scholarships for students entering the HVAC&R field.
ASHRAE is a member-based non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to advancing the heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration industry.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $3,000 - $10,000.
