NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards is a scholarship sponsored by the National Federation of Independent Business to raise awareness of private enterprise and entrepreneurship and the role they play in American business. It is open to all graduating seniors who plan to attend college and who own or operate their own business.
In addition to the scholarship award, the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation awards four NFIB National Young Entrepreneur Awards of $5,000 each, and one NFIB Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for $10,000.
Students applying must be enrolled full-time in a two-year or four-year U.S. college program. The scholarship money is for tuition and fees, and the scholarship is renewable. Children of NFIB members are also eligible to apply for the scholarships.
NFIB Young Entrepreneur is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and small business owners. The foundation has awarded 2,095 scholarships totaling $2,382,000 to graduating high school students since 2003.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $10,000.
