Needham 9/11 & Heroes Scholarship Fund
Needham 9/11 & Heroes Scholarship Fund was established shortly after the World Trade Center tragedy on September 11, 2001 to help the children of those who perished on that day to attend college. 

In 2008, the scholarship was expanded to include the families (children and spouses) of rescue workers who worked at ground zero and became permanently disabled. It also includes the survivors of military members who died or became permanently disabled in the “war on terror.”

The scholarship funds are limited to those with incomes below $125,000 (prior to 9/11). The criteria for awarding scholarships includes academic merit, financial need, and community volunteer work. The scholarship funds may be used for private high school or college.

Needham & Company, LLC is an investment banking and asset management organization headquartered in New York City. It was established in 1985 and also has offices in in Boston, San Francisco, and Menlo Park, California.

The deadline for this scholarship is ONGOING, and the award amount is usually $7,000 - $10,000.
