Students are able to choose a broad range of studies, including Business and Consumer Services, Computer Science, Dental Health Services, Engineering, Food Science or Nutrition, Television and Radio Broadcasting, Home Economics, and other technical fields of study.
The scholarships are available only to high school students who are planning to enroll in a Maryland private college or technical school right after graduation. They must be U.S. citizens and plan to attend full-time.
The scholarships are sponsored by the Maryland Association of Private Colleges and Career Schools, a membership-based non-profit organization supporting programs that enable Maryland students to attend private career colleges and trade schools in Maryland. The scholarship was formed to help these students prepare for a career in the technical fields.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $19,950.
