Nordstrom Scholarship is open to high school juniors who live in a state and attend school in a state that has a Nordstrom store. Students are eligible to apply if they plan to attend a four-year college or university and have a grade point average of 2.7 or above. Not only do students need to excel academically, but they also need to be involved in extracurricular activities at school as well as involvement with the community in which they live. Students must also show financial need.
Nordstrom awards 80 scholarships a year to outstanding high school students to help finance their college education. Students from all over the nation have won Nordstrom scholarships. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years of college.
Nordstrom was established in 1901 and is a retailer of upscale clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children. Nordstrom stores can be found in 31 states and 44 countries. They own and operate Norstrom full-line stores, Nordstrom Rack, Jeffrey Boutique, HauteLook and an online store. Their New York City boutique donates all its profits to charity.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
