Jacki Tuckfield Memorial Graduate Business Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to African American students who live in South Florida and enrolled in a graduate business degree program. Recipients must plan to establish their career in South Florida.
Applicants must be enrolled in a master's and Ph.D. business program in south Florida at an accredited college or university. They must first complete 12 semester hours of the program before applying. A minimum grade point average of 3.3 is required. They may attend any one of eleven Florida universities.
The scholarship was established by the parents of Jacki Tuckfield in 1997 in her honor. Jacki was an Assistant Project Manager for Codina Development Corporation and passed away suddenly at the age of 25. She was an advocate of diversity and supported efforts to increase managerial job opportunities for African Americans in South Florida.
The scholarship has awarded $382,000 in scholarships to deserving students like Jacki to help them achieve their academic and professional career goals.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,200.
