Students must complete two essays in order to apply. The essays include 1) What do you think is the greatest advancement in the information and communications technology industry over the last 10 years,? and 2) Why do you think a College/University education is important? Essays will be judged on how well they answer the questions as well as logical delivery and clarity of expression.
In order to apply, students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or above and be either U.S. or Canadian citizens. They must have at least one full year of college remaining at the time they apply.
The scholarship is awarded by Breylan Communications, located in Hoover, Alabama. The company was founded in 1992 and provides state-of-the-art communications equipment and product support.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
