According to Computerworld Magazine, Linux professionals are in great demand, with 93 percent of employers planning to hire at least one Linux professional within the next six months. The courses offered through the scholarship program are taught by Linux experts and provide developers and other IT professionals with the most up-to-date and comprehensive training.
The scholarship is sponsored by the Linux Foundation, the non-profit Linux organization that was founded in 2000 to provide IT training scholarships and opportunities for people with a passion for technology who want to enhance their career but do not have the funds for training.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
