AEF Tufenkian Scholarship For Armenian Students

AEF Tufenkian Scholarship
AEF Tufenkian Scholarship is for undergraduate college students who are of Armenian heritage. To qualify, the student must have an Armenian father, mother or grandparent.

Students interested in applying must plan to attend or currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. They must be enrolled full time and show that they have financial need. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required. They must also be involved in their local communities supporting Armenian activities and events.

Applications for the scholarship must include a one-page, double-spaced essay describing why they should be awarded the scholarship and how their education will enable them to give back to their communities. The application must also include information on Armenian community service the student has participated in and what activities it included. A letter of reference is required.

The scholarship is sponsored by the Armenian Educational Foundation, established in 1962 to help Armenian students acquire a post-education degree, to provide financial assistance to Armenian educational institutions, and to further the formation of Armenian courses of study and research programs.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
