CANFIT Scholarships offer scholarships for minority students in several disciplines. The scholarships are for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the state of California, who are African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic.

The scholarship is applied toward tuition and fees. Scholarships are available in the areas of nutrition, physical education, or culinary arts. To qualify, students must have a grade point average of 2.5 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduates. They must also demonstrate financial need. Undergraduate applicants must have completed 50 semester credit hours before applying, and graduates 12-15 hours.

The CANFIT Scholarship program provides educational assistance to low-income and minority students of African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian-American, Pacific Islander, or Latino/Hispanic descent. The scholarships encourage more students to pursue careers in nutrition, physical activity, or culinary arts.

CANFIT is a California-based non-profit organization that was formed in 1994 to provide assistance to low-income communities and minorities. Since its beginning, the organization has awarded up to $10,000 each year for college scholarships.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
