Endowment for South Asian Students of Indian Descent Scholarship Fund

Endowment for South Asian Students of Indian Descent Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to medical students in the state of Pennsylvania who are of South Asian Indian descent. Eligible students must be entering their second, third or fourth year of medical school.

To be eligible, students must have resided in Pennsylvania at least 12 months prior to applying. South Asian Indian descent can be the student, grandparents or great-grandparents. Students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited medical school in Pennsylvania.

Students may apply online. Required application materials include a completed application, two letters of reference, and an essay that describes why they chose the health profession as their career.

The scholarship is sponsored by the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, a non-profit organization that supports student medical education. It also provides services and programs for physicians and other medical professionals.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in SEPTEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
