WIFLE Scholarship Program

WIFLE Scholarship Program
The WIFLE Scholarship Program is open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate female students interested in a career in law enforcement. Eligible students may major in criminal justice, social sciences, public administration, computer science, finance, chemistry, and physics.

Students must be enrolled full-time in a four-year, accredited U.S. college or university and have completed the first year in college. Students can also be enrolled in a community college if they plan to transfer to a four-year institution. A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required.

To apply, students must submit a 500-word essay on their experience in community involvement or previous experience with law enforcement. One letter of reference from a police official or community leader is also required.

The scholarship is sponsored by WIFLE Foundation, Inc. and Women in Federal Law Enforcement, Inc. WIFLE works with other agencies to promote increased opportunities for women in law enforcement. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage more women to consider a career in law enforcement.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
