Students must plan to attend full-time an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or a vocational or technical school. They must have a grade point average of 3.0, or a GED average score of 500 in order to apply. All applicants must also demonstrate financial need.
To apply, applicants can submit an online application and include a transcript of grades, most recent tax return, and include any extracurricular activities completed in school or in the community. Up to 130 scholarships are awarded each year to deserving students.
The scholarship is sponsored by Cumberland Farms, a privately-owned company that has almost 600 convenience stores in 11 states. The purpose of the scholarship is to help hundreds of students and young adults to achieve their educational goals by attending college.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
