Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship accepts applications from high school seniors who are pursuing service careers in the United States local, state, or federal government.

Eligible students include those who are studying in the areas of legal professions, social service, military technology, public administration, social sciences, security professions and Reserve Officer Training Corps, including JROTC and ROTC programs.

To apply, students must complete a one-page essay, describing why they chose to pursue a career in government service. A recommendation from a high school guidance counselor is also required. A resume that includes information about honors and awards earned and participation in high school activities is encouraged.

The Washington Crossing Foundation has been awarding scholarships since 1969. The non-profit organization was formed in 1964 to promote education about historical American leaders and their sacrifices for freedom in the U.S. The scholarship program rewards students who take an interest in careers that will help protect the future of our nation.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $500 - $10,000.
