Dairy Farmers of America Cares Foundation Scholarship Program is open to college seniors as well as undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing careers in the dairy industry. A total of 30 awards are given each year by the Dairy Farmers of America Foundation.
Eligible students are those who are majoring in dairy production, veterinary medicine, marketing, communications, engineering, law and more. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college program with the intent to complete an associate’s, bachelor’s, or advanced degree program.
Students may apply by completing an online application and attaching a high school or college transcript. It is also necessary for students to complete an essay, describing their goals for a career in the dairy industry.
The Dairy Farmers of America is a non-profit, member-based organization representing diary producers throughout 48 states. Their purpose is to provide programs and services that ensure dairy producers are able to produce and distribute their milk throughout the U.S. The scholarship supports students who will be the next generation of diary production leaders.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
