Louie Family Foundation Scholarship

Louie Family Foundation Scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to attend a U.S.accredited college or university. Qualifying students must demonstrate financial need, disabilities, have overcome great adversities in their lives, or whose parents are in the military.

Students must have a grade point average of 3.4 or above, a SAT score of 1800, or a ACT score of 25. In addition, they must have outstanding personal achievements and leadership qualities demonstrated through helping their communities. Applicants may attend either a two-year or four-year college or university or vocational school in the U.S.

The scholarship is sponsored by The Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation which was established in 2005 by Betty B. Louie in honor of her parents. The scholarship is one of many foundation programs which assist the sick and disabled. Ms. Louie co-founded a company that is a leading provider of disability evaluation services.

Ms. Louie's parents overcame great adversities in their lives, worked hard to support their children and instilled in them the value of an education. The foundation awards 25 scholarships a year to deserving students.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MARCH of each year, and the award amount is usually $4,000.
