The Intertek Scholarship Program is open to undergraduate students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The scholarship combines a scholarship with an internship at Intertek.
Up to five scholarships are awarded each year, with one of the five awarded to a female in engineering. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in a four-year accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada. Students must be sophomores or juniors to apply. A grade point average of 3.2 is required.
To apply, students may submit an application online and complete an essay question. They will need to include a resume, transcript of grades and two letters of recommendation. Students who apply for the scholarship must also agree to complete an internship at one of Intertek’s offices.
Intertek provides testing, inspection, certification and auditing of products for customers in the chemical, automotive, food, agriculture, pharmaceutical, medical and other industries to ensure safety and quality of products for customers. They have offices across the U.S., North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. The Scholarship Program was created in 2014 to encourage and reward students interested in careers in the STEM areas.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
