DC Tuition Assistance Grant
DC Tuition Assistance Grant is open to District of Columbia residents who are currently attending an eligible public or private college or university. The grant covers tuition at private colleges and universities in the District of Columbia, private Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and two-year colleges located across the nation.

Eligible applicants must be first-time college students pursuing an undergraduate degree. Students may attend college either part-time or full-time. They must be under the age of 24 and have lived in the District of Columbia at least 12 months. They may attend a four-year college up to 6 years, and a two-year college up to four years.

Students may choose to attend any public college or university in the U.S., Guam or Puerto Rico, a public or private Historically Black College or University in the US, Guam and Puerto Rico, or any private college or university in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

The grant is offered by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), a state agency of the District of Columbia that is responsible for the quality of education for residents of D.C.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
