Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation Scholarship
Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation Scholarship is offered to exceptional high school students who have financial need and whose parents are currently working or previously worked for a company in the financial services industry.

These companies may include banks such as commercial banks and investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and other similar financial services businesses. Up to seven scholarships are awarded each year, and the scholarships are renewable up to four years of college.

Eligible students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling full-time in a U.S. four-year degree program at an accredited college or university. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or above to apply and be in the top 20 percent of their class.

The scholarship is offered by the Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation, established in 2001. The foundation was created to honor Gordon A. Rich, co-head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse who died in a car accident at the age 43. The foundation was formed in his honor by his co-workers. In 2013, the foundation awarded $236,000 in scholarships to deserving students across the country.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $12,500.
