James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Program is for high school seniors graduating from Missouri high schools and planning to attend a four-year college or university.
Eligible students include first-time college students, and students currently attending a two-year community college and want to transfer to a four-year institution. Transfer students must have completed two years of community college. All eligible students must live in Missouri. They are required to have a grade point average of 2.5 or above.
Family income for eligible students must have an adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less and demonstrate limited financial resources. Scholarships cover tuition and offer a stipend to cover the costs of fees, books, and supplies.
The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 to help residents of the state of Missouri in pursuing a college education.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
