The Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing degrees in science or engineering. One scholarship is awarded each year.
The scholarship is named in memory of Dr. Robert H. Goddard who was a pioneer in rocket science. Eligible students must be at least in their junior year of college and currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
Eligible areas of study include biological and biomedical sciences, physical sciences, science technology, engineering, engineering technology and other engineering-related fields.
The scholarship is sponsored by the National Space Club, a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization that fosters achievement in space science. The organization offers scholarships, internships and awards to outstanding students interested in astronautics and space science.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
