Students may choose to attend any accredited college or university. Both high school seniors planning to attend college and existing college students are eligible to apply. High school seniors must have a grade point average of 3.0, and current college students must have a grade point average of 2.5. Two scholarships are awarded each year.
Applicants may attend a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school. They must enroll or plan to enroll in an industrial maintenance or plastics processing course of study.
The scholarship is offered through the Injection Molding Division of Toshiba Machine Co. Toshiba Machine Co., Ltd. includes approximately 30 regional companies supplying global markets with products including plastic injection molding machines, machine tools, die-casting machines, robotics equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500.
