This scholarship enables gifted young women to study for one summer at Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Brown, Cornell, Emory, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, and Smith, all of whom have strong science and engineering disciplines. The scholarship covers program tuition, room and board, travel and living expenses.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, financial need, and a strong interest in STEM courses. The scholarship is for women from the Midwest with high potential and a desire to advance their education in the fields of engineering, science, technology and mathematics. Three scholarships are awarded every year.
The Frank Minolli Foundation is a Michigan-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the education of high potential female high school students in the Midwest. Frank Minolli was a successful businessman who fostered interest in engineering by volunteering his time to help high school students cultivate a greater interest in engineering. The foundation was established by Frank's daughters and is funded by individuals and corporations.
