Teens For Jeans Scholarship
The Teens For Jeans Scholarship offers high school students a chance to win a college scholarship by running the best jeans collection drive to support youth homelessness.
Students interested in joining the campaign will not only have a chance to win a scholarship but will also be helping contribute clothing to the homeless. Students must register first, then send in their creative idea for a jeans drive. Applicants will be given tips that will help them create their own campaign.
The competition will provide not only money for the school represented by participating winning students but also earn one winner the grand prize of a college scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to foster education among youth about homelessness in the U.S. and give them a chance to make a difference in the lives of others.
The scholarship contest is sponsored by DoSomething.org, one of the largest online organizations of young people supporting social change. The organization consists of 3.4 million members who create social campaigns to bring about positive change, including poverty, violence, the environment, and much more.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $10,000.
