WyzAnt College Scholarship is open to high school sophomores through college juniors. It is available to students who plan to be or already are enrolled in a four-year college or university.
Students may compete for this scholarship by submitting a 300–word essay that describes how education has empowered them. Essays will be judged by the number of votes received by visitors to WyzAnt’s website.
Ten essays with the highest total number of votes will be selected for a final round. Three final winners will be selected for first, second and third place scholarships.
The scholarship contest is sponsored by WyzAnt, a leading tutoring marketplace on the web with 73,000+ tutors offering private lessons in hundreds of subjects including math, science, test prep, foreign languages, music, computers and more. The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000 - $10,000.
