Military Commanders' Scholarship Fund
Military Commanders' Scholarship Fund is offered to children of select active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year to eligible students who plan to attend an accredited college or university full time.

Students may choose any accredited college to attend. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 and be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Up to three awards for each service branch (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard) are awarded every year.

Students may apply online by returning a completed application, along with a transcript of grades and a copy of the parent’s Military ID. This scholarship is for undergraduate students only and is not renewable.

The scholarship is offered by The New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association (ALA). ALA is a non-profit organization formed in 1920 with the sole purpose of representing the business interests of companies in the military channel. They are headquartered in Washington, D.C.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
