DISH Scholarship is open to all high school students who are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents. Current full-time college freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors may also apply. All applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above.

The scholarship is based on a 600 words or less essay that compares how three current popular forms of sharing information impact how we understand that information. Entries will be judged by original content, creativity and how well the essay addresses the topic.

To answer the essay, students may choose any 3 forms of information sharing. This can include printing, radio, television, the Internet, social media or others. Entries will be reviewed by a team of judges. Only one winner will receive a college scholarship. The scholarship may be used for qualified college expenses, including graduate and undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
