Addiction Story Scholarship is open to students 18 years old or older whose lives have been affected by addiction. Applicants must be either currently enrolled or within 6 months of enrolling in a post-education institution.
Entries must be original work submitted by the student. Submissions must share personal stories about addiction. It can include either a personal addiction or the addiction of someone else whose struggle changed their life.
Three awards will be given, including first, second and third place winners. All are cash prizes which can be used to support post-secondary education pursuits.
The scholarship is sponsored by The Fix, the world's leading website about addiction and recovery. The web site features news, exclusive interviews, investigative reports, essays and blogs on sober living, and offers resources and advice from experts.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $5,000.
