Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Youth of the Year Scholarship
Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Youth of the Year Scholarship is open to teens age 14 to 18. The scholarship is sponsored by local Boys & Girls Clubs of America throughout the country.

Applicants must first compete in their home state. Youth of the Month winners are selected by local clubs and then proceed to state competitions. State winners each receive scholarships and then advance to regional competitions. Regional winners receive an additional college scholarship, renewable for four years. A total of 6 youths, including five regional winners and one military winner, will advance to the National Youth of the Year competition for a chance at an additional scholarship that is renewable up to four years.

The National Youth of the Year represents all Boys & Girls Club youth and recognizes their achievement as teens. Applicants must be Boys & Girls Club members who excel in academics, leadership, and are excellent examples for other young people.

Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s scholarship program recognizing and awarding the outstanding efforts of youth since 1947. The non-profit organization has been helping youth through programs that include scholarships, teaching leadership and life skills, helping youth develop creativity and culture, and encouraging fitness.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000 - $25,000.
