Just Porter Backpack Scholarship is open to legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years old or older and enrolled in college. Scholarship awards are made in the Spring and Fall.
Applicants can be either part-time or full-time students attending a junior college, vocational school, or other accredited college or university. Students must be enrolled in school and taking at least 6 hours of courses.
Students enter the competition by submitting a personal essay about creativity in their life. The purpose of the scholarship is to empower students to create their best work, explore and change the world.
Just Porter is a manufacturer and distributor of backpacks located in Chicago. In addition to giving scholarships, the company has a program called GIVE1/3 that gives a bag filled with school supplies to a child in need with every purchase of a Just Porter backpack.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
