National Co-op Scholarship Program is open to high school students or transfer students planning to attend one of six WACE partner schools. The scholarship is offered by the World Council and Assembly on Cooperative Education (WACE), founded in 1983 to foster Co-operative Education and other Work Integrated Learning programs around the world.

Applicants must be high school seniors entering college for the first time, or transfer students. All applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or above. They must also plan to attend or transfer to one of six participating colleges, including Clarkson University, Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Merrimack College, SUNY Oswego, or the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

To apply, students must complete a program application, along with a 200-word, typed one-page essay describing why they have chosen to pursue a college cooperative education program.

Any qualifying student may apply. WACE encourages applications from minority and female students and students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $6,000.
