The Stephanie Brown Cadet Memorial Foundation Scholarship is open to both high school seniors as well as college students. Applicants must be current residents of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Candidates must plan to attend college or currently be enrolled in college. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Students may attend either a two-year or four-year college, vocational or technical college.
This scholarship is particularly interested in students who have done a significant amount of volunteer work withing their communities during the last 18 months. The scholarship is renewable up to four years.
The scholarship is named in honor of Stephanie Brown Cadet, a Stanford University graduate and mother of two who, while raising a family, also actively volunteered in the medical, educational, and special needs community. The Stephanie Brown Cadet Memorial Foundation was created by Stephanie’s family and friends following her untimely passing in 2005 from a heart condition.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
