Applicants must have above average grades in order to apply. This scholarship is for students pursuing a career in geosciences, physics, geology, or earth and environmental sciences as well as exploration geophysics in operations, teaching or research. Scholarship money may be applied toward tuition, books and fees.
Eligible students may apply by submitting a completed application along with a current grade transcript and two references. The references must be in the form of email addresses for faculty members who have agreed to serve as references.
Society of Exploration Geophysicists is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the science of geophysics and the education of exploration geophysicists. The organization was formed in 1930 and has more than 28,000 members working in more than 130 countries.
