The Law Offices of Joel J. Kofsky Annual Scholarship is open to all college students pursuing all degrees or majors in any field. One scholarship is awarded every year.
Applicants may apply for a scholarship by submitting a 500 - 1,000 word essay on the topic of reducing car and other motor vehicle accidents. The essay should describe safety precautions and traffic laws that could reduce motor vehicle accidents, and how the applicant plans to educate the public on the importance of these precautions and laws.
In addition, applicants must include a brief paragraph that describes the school program they are attending or are planning to attend. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students who are currently attending or are planning to attend college or graduate school. The scholarship can be applied toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, and living expenses.
The scholarship is sponsored by the Law Offices of Joel J. Kofsky, a Philadelphia-based personal injury law firm that specializes in personal injury cases, including car and motor vehicle accidents. Students do not need to major in law in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in AUGUST of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
