Code Fellows Diversity Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to women, U.S. military veterans, and populations underrepresented in technology. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Candidates must be women, veterans, or minorities of African American, Hispanic, or Native American descent, including Alaskan and Hawaiian. The scholarship must be applied toward Development Accelerator courses at the code school’s Chicago, Portland and Seattle locations. The advanced software development courses are designed to provide accelerated coding skills that will enable more minorities to compete for jobs within technology and STEM fields.
Up to 40 scholarships are awarded every year. The purpose of the scholarship program is to advance the number of women, minorities and veterans who are now underrepresented in coding and other tech-related jobs.
Code Fellows is based in Seattle, Washington, Washington. The company was formed in 2013 to help more students learn in-demand programming skills that will increase their job opportunities in technology.
