The H&P Veterans Helping Veterans Scholarships are open to veterans of the armed forces. Four scholarships are awarded each year, two in the Fall and two in the Spring.
Ideal candidates must plan to use their education to help fellow veterans. To apply, candidates must submit a 300 words or less essay on how they plan to use their education toward helping veterans. Both men and women veterans are encouraged to apply.
The purpose of the scholarships are to help veterans further their education. The scholarships are also intended to help veterans choose a career field that would help other veterans.
The scholarships are sponsored by Hill & Ponton Disability Attorneys, a law firm founded in 1986 in Orlando, Florida. The firm handles both Social Security and Veterans disability claims.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in NOVEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
