Annie's Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarships are open to both undergraduate and graduate college students who are pursuing studies in sustainable and organic agriculture. The purpose of the scholarship is to support the next generation of farmers committed to sustainable farming practices.
Annie’s Homegrown, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Annie Withey with the goal to make healthy foods using natural and organic ingredients. From her certified organic farm in Connecticut, she produces homegrown ingredients for her products, which include cereals, pastas, soups, snacks, dressings, baking products, yogurt and frozen foods.
Withey's products are available at Krogers, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, Meijer, and other stores and supermarkets across the nation. In addition to food products, the company's web site shares recipes for healthy meals, side dishes, desserts and snacks.
Annie's Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarships are one way in which the company can support sustainable and organic agriculture as well as the next generation of farmers who share the company's commitment to sustainable farming practices.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,500 - $10,000.
