Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF) provides scholarship assistance to needy families throughout Northwest Ohio. The scholarship money is for students in grades K-8 to attend private school. Students being home schooled are also eligible.

Scholarship recipients must reside in Allen, Crawford, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Van Wert, Williams, Wood or Wyandot counties. Students may use the scholarship money to attend any private school of their choice.

The scholarships are 100 percent based on need. Guidelines for eligibility generally follow the federal free or reduced school lunch program. The funds must be used to attend private school. Research shows that private schools offer low-income students a better chance by exposing them to diversity, new ideas, and new ways of learning.

The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to offering educational choices to low-income families through scholarships that are privately funded by individuals, corporations and foundations. NOSF has been named a 2016 Top-Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonProfits, a provider of user reviews on charities and non-profit organizations.

The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount is usually $1,500.
