Victims Of Drunk Driving Scholarship is open to students who are currently attending or have been accepted to an accredited college or university in the U.S. Candidates must complete an essay at the time of application.

All applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above in order to apply. They must be students in the United States who are attending an accredited college or university, or be accepted to begin classes at an accredited college or university within 6 months of application.

Candidates must complete one essay question out of four that relates to drunk driving. Essays must be 500 to 1,000 words in length. The purpose of the scholarship is to create more awareness of drunk driving and how it impacts lives, and to think about state laws that could be changed to provide more protection to citizens against drunk driving.

The scholarship is offered through Encore Protection, an affordable roadside assistance company that offers 24/7/365 emergency roadside assistance coverage to both commercial and consumer program members. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
