Morning Chores Scholarship is open to high school students, college students, and students attending vocational and trade schools in the USA. Applicants should have a strong interest in agriculture and urban sustainable lifestyle.
Applicants are not required to have agriculture experience. However, they must have a strong passion for gardening, farming, raising livestock, green living, homesteading, agriculture, and permaculture. Eligible students may apply by writing and submitting a 1500-2000 word essay about how people living in the urban area can adopt a sustainable lifestyle.
Submissions will be judged according to their creativity, originality, and the feasibility of their plans. One submission per person is allowed.
Morning Chores is an online web site that shares information on homesteading with the goal to help others live a happy, self-sufficient life. Contributors share information that ranges from everything from growing methods, specific types of farming, campfire cooking, recipes and more.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000.
