Beyond The Dream Foundation Scholarships are open to African-American young men who are graduating from high schools in the Mid-Hudson New York and Danbury (CT), areas. Candidates are chosen for their high moral character, community involvement, and academic achievement.
Each year the Beyond the Dream Foundation awards between $3500 - $10,000 in scholarships to young men from the Mid-Hudson New York and Danbury (CT), communities. Two scholarships are available:
Computer Science : Endeavor Scholarship - for students majoring in Computer Science. This scholarship is a one-time only scholarship.
Sojourner Truth Scholarship - for students pursuing Human Rights studies. This scholarship is awarded each year for 4 years.
Applicants must be attending a four-year, accredited college or university. The awardee must be validated each year as a full-time student. Candidates must have a GPA of 2.5 or above in order to apply.
Beyond The Dream Foundation was founded in 2008 as a non-profit organization. It's mission is to assist selected qualified students with scholarships, provide mentorship programs for the youth, and help seniors, youths, and those in need.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $4,000.
