Cancer For College Scholarship is open to any cancer survivor who is enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States. Students must major in music or a related field.
Applicants may be enrolled in a college, university, or community college. Scholarship recipients must maintain full-time enrollment at his/her stated university. California applicants and applicants attending Southern California colleges will receive first consideration for scholarships.
To apply, eligible students must complete an online application and return it, along with two years of grade transcripts, diagnosis of illness, two letters of recommendation, and parents' income tax returns.
Cancer for College is a non-profit charitable foundation formed in 1993. Since its beginning, the foundation has given hope and inspiration to cancer survivors in the form of college scholarships.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JANUARY of each year, and the award amount is usually $1,000 - $5,000.
