The Anthony Muñoz Scholarship Fund is open to high school graduates who attended a high school in Cincinnati, Ohio, and are planning to attend or entering an eligible Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State college or university.
Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average or a minimum composite ACT score of 18. They must also have financial need, demonstrate a desire and intent to overcome adversity, and have an active leadership role in the community.
To apply, eligible students must submit a completed application and include a high school transcript, current family financial information, an acceptance letter from their college or university, and a personal statement that explains the nature of their diversity. Up to 8 students will be awarded scholarships.
The Anthony Muñoz Foundation was formed in 2002 by former Cincinnati Bengal and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Anthony Muñoz. The foundation's mission is to impact youth mentally, physically and spiritually and encourage them to overcome obstacles while maintaining a focus on higher education.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $20,000.
