Intel HBCU Grant Program is a three-year, $4.5 million program to encourage students to remain in STEM pathways at six historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Students attending Florida A&M University, Morgan State University, Howard University, Prairie View A&M University, North Carolina A&T State University and Tuskegee University will benefit through scholarships, tech workshops and research experiences.

The Intel HBCU Grant Program is part of a $300 million Diversity in Technology initiative with the goal to ensure minority students remain in STEM programs and are fully represented in technology fields by the year 2020. The three-year grant program supports investments in computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering programs.

The grant program includes two-year scholarships for college juniors through Ph.D.-level students who are majoring in computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering. In addition to scholarships, the grant program provides more opportunities for STEM students to participate in labs, workshops and research experiences.
